Leadership transition set for May 14 meeting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Cheniere Energy, Inc. (NYSE: LNG)<\/strong> announced that G. Andrea Botta<\/strong> will retire as Chairman of the Board effective at the company\u2019s 2026 Annual Shareholders\u2019 Meeting on May 14, 2026<\/strong>. Following his retirement, Jack Fusco<\/strong>, currently President and Chief Executive Officer, will take on the combined role of Chairman, President and CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, Patricia Collawn<\/strong> will assume the position of Lead Director. The company said the appointment is intended to reinforce governance standards and maintain independent oversight at the board level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Board reflects on a decade of growth<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Botta joined the board in 2010 and oversaw a period of significant expansion as Cheniere evolved from a development-stage company into the largest producer and exporter of liquefied natural gas in the United States and the second-largest LNG operator globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat we have accomplished at Cheniere over the last decade-plus has been truly remarkable,\u201d Botta said, noting the company\u2019s transformation of North American energy infrastructure and its expanding role in global gas markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He expressed confidence in Fusco\u2019s leadership, citing operational execution and capital discipline over the past decade as key pillars of Cheniere\u2019s growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Focus on operational strength and expansion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Fusco, who has led Cheniere since 2016, said his priorities include maintaining safety and operational performance while advancing brownfield growth projects at Sabine Pass<\/strong> and Corpus Christi<\/strong>. The company continues to expand its liquefaction footprint along the U.S. Gulf Coast to support global LNG demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cheniere currently operates more than 53 million tonnes per annum<\/strong> of LNG production capacity, with an additional approximately 8 mtpa<\/strong> under construction, including estimated debottlenecking projects. The company is also evaluating further expansion opportunities across the LNG value chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Governance and global footprint<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As Lead Director, Collawn will oversee independent board functions and support governance accountability. She has served on the Cheniere board since 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Headquartered in Houston, Texas<\/strong>, Cheniere operates major liquefaction facilities at Sabine Pass and Corpus Christi and maintains offices in London, Singapore, Beijing, Tokyo, Dubai and Washington, D.C. The company provides full-service LNG capabilities, including gas procurement, liquefaction, vessel chartering and delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
